PBS Teachers: Early Childhood Education
The Early Childhood Education section of PBS Teachers offers original content and serves as an entry point to preschool and K-2 content across pbskids.org. Early childhood educators can search for resources based on keyword, curriculum topic, grade range or thematic unit.

PBS Parents
This Web site provides in-depth information into a variety of topics including child development, early math, going to school, reading & language, talking with kids and more. The child development tracking tool allows parents or educators to view developmental milestones according to age range and curriculum area. A bookfinder tool offers the ability to search for recommended books based on age, theme, type of book, or keyword. A monthly question and answer feature allows parents or educators to ask questions of an expert from a particular field.

Reading Rockets
This site from Arlington, Virginia based PBS station WETA provides resources for parents and educators to help struggling readers. On-air, the Launching Young Readers series looks at the stages of reading that every child goes through and offers information from the country's top reading experts, a look at different reading strategies, practical advice for parents, and personal stories of children, families, and teachers. Online, educators can download podcasts of Reading Rockets programs, view author interviews, explore free reading guides, and access reading research. In addition, educators and parents can explore the bilingual Colorín Colorado, which provides additional information, activities, and advice in Spanish.

Ready for Life
Created by PBS station KERA of North Texas, Ready for Life provides resources to help parents and caregivers raise children who are socially and emotionally healthy and ready to succeed in school and life. Visitors to the Web site can view videos and read articles exploring the topics of temperament, attachment, socialization, early literacy, nutrition and fitness.

A Place of Our Own · Los Niños en Su Casa
These two companion resources from Southern California based PBS station KCET air on PBS stations and offer additional online resources for early childhood educators. The Web sites provide activities appropriate for toddlers to preschoolers and range in topic from Health & Safety to Language & Literacy to Science & Environment and more. Message boards offer early childhood educators a place to ask questions, share ideas, and participate in child care related discussions. Additionally, information and advice is available on over one hundred topics, including everything from poetry to dental care to superhero play to circle time.

Arthur
The Web site for the Arthur series provides extensive materials for preschool through 2nd grade educators and students. Early childhood educators can use fun activities to introduce or reinforce many concepts, including art, creative thinking & problem solving, math, language & literacy, life skills, math, science, health, and social & emotional development. Additional resources allow students to play printable and online educational games, submit poems, and participate in an online poll.

Between the Lions
The Between the Lions Web site provides preschoolers and early childhood educators with fun resources to extend the learning of the on-air PBS television series. Online and printable stories, educational games, songs, teacher led activities for the classroom, and resources to share with parents provide fun and engaging opportunities to reinforce early literacy skills with preschool through 1st grade students.

Clifford
The Clifford Web site provides many online games that allow preschoolers to interact with both Clifford the Big Red Dog and Puppy Clifford and all of his friends. Concepts reinforced include colors, patterns, matching, letters and words, stories, measurement, and sounds. Early childhood educators can further the fun with 60 activities related to Clifford's big ideas on topics such as responsibility, being truthful, fair play, and sharing.

Curious George
This Web site for the Curious George PBS television series offers early childhood educators the opportunity to extend the learning of the on-air episodes. Online video, educational games, a teacher's guide and activities reinforce early learning concepts in math, science and engineering.

It's a Big Big World
Developed to help preschoolers learn about earth and life science, this Web site for the PBS series It's a Big, Big World offers an immersive experience that allows children to "move through the leaves and venture into the World Tree" to meet and play with fun characters such as a sloth, monkeys, and an anteater. Early childhood educators will find activities for the classroom and engaging online games that explore science, math and music.

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood
The PBS KIDS Web site for the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood series offers preschoolers the opportunity to explore and interact with Mister Rogers house and the Neighborhood of Make Believe. Students can also view select videos from the Picture Picture factory tours. Educators can find activities related to the weekly themes, lyrics to memorable songs, and articles and thoughts from Mister Rogers.

Sesame Street
The PBS KIDS Web site for the long-running Sesame Street series offers preschoolers the chance to interact with some of their favorite characters while reinforcing numbers, letters, shapes, rhymes and Spanish words.
